Overview
Lake Worth Beach sits on the coast in central Palm Beach County, south of West Palm Beach. The city was known as Lake Worth until March 2019, when voters approved the new name, so you will still see Lake Worth on plenty of addresses and listings.
Downtown runs along Lake Avenue and Lucerne Avenue, with independent shops, restaurants and galleries. The Lake Worth Playhouse puts on shows in the historic Oakley Theatre, and the city is known as one of the most artistic in the Palm Beaches.
Homes range from streets close to downtown to quieter neighborhoods around Lake Osborne, such as Lake Osborne Estates.

The municipal beach has a boardwalk that leads to the fishing pier, with the historic Casino Building next door.
Lake Avenue and Lucerne Avenue are lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Lake Worth Playhouse is right on Lake Avenue.
Galleries, the Cultural Council and glassblowing classes at the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts give the city its creative feel.
I-95 and US-1 both run through the city, and the Tri-Rail commuter train stops at Lake Worth Beach on its route between Miami and the northern end of the county. Palm Tran buses also serve the city.
