A waterfront city with a working port, a busy marina and the mainland gateway to Singer Island.
Overview
Port city on the Lake Worth Lagoon
Riviera Beach is a city of about 37,600 people just north of West Palm Beach. It was incorporated as the Town of Riviera in 1922, added Beach to its name in 1941 and became a city in 1959.
The Port of Palm Beach is in the city, along with a U.S. Coast Guard station and Riviera Beach Marina Village, where water taxis leave for Peanut Island. The eastern part of the city covers most of Singer Island, across the Lake Worth Lagoon.
Homes range from single-family neighborhoods and townhomes on the mainland to waterfront homes on the lagoon and oceanfront condos on the Singer Island side.

Getting around Riviera Beach
I-95 runs through the city, and Blue Heron Boulevard leads east over the lagoon to Singer Island. US-1 runs along the water, Palm Tran buses serve the city, and downtown West Palm Beach is just to the south.

Most of it is. The eastern part of the city covers most of Singer Island, while the southern tip is the Town of Palm Beach Shores.
The area was first called Oak Lawn and was renamed Riviera in 1893, after the French Riviera. It became the Town of Riviera in 1922, added Beach in 1941 and became the City of Riviera Beach in 1959.
Plenty. Take a water taxi from the marina to Peanut Island, snorkel at the Blue Heron Bridge, or head out on a fishing charter from Riviera Beach Marina Village.
